Overview

Karen is passionate about having a pain free practice. Having studied since 2005 with teachers including Danny Paradise and David Swenson, teachings are mainly from Astanga with modifications that are fun and playful. Classes are small and inclusive and one to one sessions can be arranged in a home studio. Aerial yoga and SUP yoga could follow in the coming years together with inversions workshops.  Karen has spent almost a year training with renowned circus professionals trying to discover the holy grail of how to perfect a freestanding handstand and is preparing to pass on some of their best secret tricks. 

Karen has suffered serious shoulder injuries in the past and doesn’t have a ballerina physique. This understanding of tight spots and natural inflexibility means that breath work and recognising pain is even more important. Karen has tried various forms of fitness from powerlifting to crossfit, but yoga is the only way to develop a daily discipline to counterbalance the effect of a stressful city job and commuting. Karen looks forward to passing these lessons to you so that you can learn this discipline and learn to adapt for yourself, offering total freedom.
