Bridget has been practicing yoga since 2004. She began attending hatha yoga classes in Cork and progressed to graduating as a level one teacher of Hatha yoga with the Irish Health Culture Association. She taught Hatha yoga from 2004 to 2007 in Cork City, Ballincollig and Mallow. Her teaching was intercepted by commitments in her personal life but she continued her own practice in hatha yoga and meditation. In 2013 Bridget took up the practice of Ashtanga yoga in Cork with Himalaya Yoga Valley. She committed to practicing yoga consistently at this centre for five years where her love for yoga grew deeper and her practice inevitably grew stronger. She was inspired to train as a yoga teacher in 2017 and invariably shares her love for yoga with her students since then.
Bridget has attended training classes and workshops with Lalit Kumar, R. Sharath Jois, Carol Murphy, Lisa Fahy, Nikki Cousins and Vijay Kumar. She currently practices Mysore and led classes with Eunice at Ashtanga Yoga Cork and will begin teaching yoga at this beautiful studio in the near future.
Bridget is grateful to all her teachers who have brought her on her journey and look forward to continuing practicing learning and sharing this wonderful practice with her students.
