Overview

Yoga is a journey in which I have chosen the path of being forever a student bringing all the knowledge and tools I gain insight to into my classes. It is my goal to open doors to as many people I can possibly can.

I did my 500h YTT in Rishikesh, India with a wonderful school called Samatva Yogalaya under my teachers Krishna and Sangeeta Sikhwal, graduating in May 2019 and teaching continuously since. My first experience as teaching was part of the 200h YTT batch that came mid May to our school after I graduated. This was a wonderful opportunity to put into practice everything I have learned in my own training. I travelled a lot in India, meeting locals and exploring amazing places that I never even dared dream before. It has given me the push and the confidence to chose my own path, living my Dharma and contributing to the collective as a whole.

My classes have many influences though my main style is Hatha Yoga. In my personal practice I explore many styles, and as a forever student I will always strive to better my skills and my knowledge therefore bringing all I learn into my classes and offer people tools to use in the every day life and a chance for unforgettable experiences.

Alignment to Flow would describe best what I teach in terms of an asana practice. Facilitating the flow of energy into the body through breath and body focus practices, pranayama. Encourage concentration through classes that better prepare our body and mind to be ready for meditation using sound, visualisation and working with themes to introduce yoga philosophy notions on and off our yoga mat. I like bringing the notion of playing in my classes, allowing each body to explore it's own space with props and sometimes quirky  adjustments, bringing together movement and stillness.

I find my inspiration when I go inside, experiencing on my own what I read, what I study, in my movements and in every day life situations that make me face a challenge. Unless we experience all the information we gain we will never have a good understanding. Yoga and all that it means has to be experienced, and not one experience is the same as the other. I encourage people to do just that, explore themselves and put into practice what they learn by using tools that have been here for centuries.
