A passionate yoga student for 20 years. Qualified to teach yoga with Nalini Yoga. Jaime's Body Mind Yoga was born in 2014. I started with 2 classes in the local church hall and during the last 3 years my business has grown to 8 regular classes per week. All classes at the same venue and I also teach in a care home where I have been working for 2 years ( chair yoga). I also have a strong one to one business. These private sessions take place in my own private studio at my home.
I love to teach children, teenagers, beginners to experienced, seniors and those with injury. Dynamic 'yang' style classes and restorative 'yin' classes. I am also qualified to integrate pregnant woman into my classes. Each class that I teach is my favourite class! My yoga classes really are for everyone. It is a community. Over the last 3 years my charitable work within classes have raised over £1000 for several charities which I am proud of.
My roots are in Ashtanga but I can't really categorise my style now. My teaching has developed into my own style with influences from many areas. As a teacher , the biggest thrill is to watch a students personal journey on the mat and receiving feedback regarding what a difference my classes have made. It is my mission to change the world with yoga and I strive to help students feel better in Body and Mind.
Personally, I continue to grow as a student of yoga with a thirst for learning , so I am always reading, studying and attending courses to improve my knowledge in my quest to be the best I can be, both personally and as a teacher. My life is full with many interests but my priority is my husband and our three young children which keeps me very busy. I will add that I ventured on my first ever yoga retreat earlier this year to India which was a wonderful experience and very inspirational. I was also thrilled to find one of my students recently nominated me for inspirational businesses woman of the year.
