I’m Jan and I teach yoga in Bristol. I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training at Bristol City Yoga in 2014.
I teach Hatha yoga with some vinyasa flow sequences. I enjoy working with mixed ability groups. My style is gentle but I provide options within a class if people feel they would like more of a challenge on a particular day. The focus is on safe alignment and finding a place where a person can breathe easily and feel steady.
I have benefited in many ways from practicing yoga over the years. Yoga can offer many different things on different levels. It can energise, strengthen and restore the body. It can quieten, focus and offer perspective for the mind. I aim to help students discover what yoga can offer them so they can take what they need from each class.
Yoga Workshop:
Sunday 12th May 2024 2pm - 6pm
The Bradbury Hall, Trinity Henleaze United Reform Church, Waterloo Road, Henleaze, Bristol.
Come and join us for an afternoon of yoga. There will be time to explore poses in different ways, practice breath work and find stillness. The aim is to leave with your body feeling more spacious and with a deep sense of relaxation. The workshop is open to everyone, beginners to experienced yoga practitioners. There will be options along the way so that you can find a comfortable level for you.
Cost £30 with refreshments
Classes
- Mondays 11 - 12 noon (on Zoom)
- Thursdays 7.30 pm - 8.30 pm (on Zoom)
- I also teach in the studio 3 times a week at Horfield Leisure Centre, Bristol.
- One to one sessions.
Zoom classes come with a link to the class recording so that you can review it or repeat the class later in the week.

Yoga and Walking Trips.
Over the last 6 years we have very much enjoyed yoga and walking trips at a sustainable living community set in 11 acres near Lyme Regis in Dorset. The Lyme Regis 2 night break includes accommodation, 2 breakfasts and 2 evening meals, 4 sessions of yoga and 2 guided walks.
