Overview

My name is Diana.

 I have been practising yoga for 22 years - discovering yoga and meditation after coming close to  suffering a nervous breakdown following a punishing few years working  ridiculously long hours in the City as a banking lawyer.

Yoga helped me so much that, in addition to teaching yoga, I have been studying  yoga for 14 years and continue to do so with highly respected yoga teachers trained in the Iyengar and Krishnamacharya traditions of Hatha Yoga.I am a certified yoga teacher  with Yoga Alliance Professionals (UK) and hold a  500 hour Yoga Alliance international certification with Ruth White, who was taught by B K S Iyengar. In addition, I have completed courses with visiting international teachers, including Shiva Rea, and continue to study under the mentorship of respected yoga teachers in London.In particular, I am  studying Somatic Movements and already  incorporate these wonderful movements into my yoga classes . Something which may interest insomniacs or those with sleeping issues is that  I have completed my certification to teach Yoga Nidra for insomnia , stress and anxiety. I have found Yoga Nidra helped me cope with sleep deprivation as a mother of young children and practised it on a daily basis for twelve years. I continue to use it every week and  find it very helpful throughout the perimenopausal years. I teach mixed ability Iyengar -inspired Hatha Yoga classes - catering for both beginners and intermediate students in the same class. This I can do as my classes are very small .  Some of my classes are more Yin in style (where there are fewer and more restorative poses which are held for longer periods) and others are a faster paced combination of Yang/Vinyasa Flow and Yin(holding) poses.

Over the years my practice and teaching has changed to flow with my life: having children, being a mother and growing older. Depending on where you are on any day, at any stage of your life, I can guide you through dynamic yoga flow classes or relaxing yin yoga classes where we hold the poses for longer in order to melt away the tension held in our bodies.

I share yoga because I believe it has changed my life for the better. I firmly believe that when we show up to our mat, over and over again, with intention and dedication, a shift starts to happen deep within. Before we know it, the practice becomes so much more that what we do on the mat. It becomes a way of life.

My classes support all ages, all abilities and interests. So, all the yoga poses are modified where necessary in order to suit each and every person in the class - because yoga is for everyone.

Wherever you are on your life journey, there is a practice to support you and offer you a way of being more at ease in your body, heart and mind. Recognising that yoga makes me a healthier, happier and more tolerant person, I am committed to creating space and time for others to have the same experience. My classes are aimed at empowering others to move with intention and, always, synchronising the movements of the body with the breath.

Please contact me on  to let me know if you are interested in coming along to a class and I will give you directions to the class venue . I can only accommodate 8 students in my loft studio so its good to have an idea of how many students are coming on any day.  I also teach on a 1-2-1 basis and I also teach groups of friends who wanted to practice together in a more personal setting.

I believe the purpose of Yoga is to enhance the union between mind, breath and body in order to find a greater sense of peace, health and happiness in life off the mat. Finding the balance between a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual experience in each class, regardless of the style, allows a person to release tension and trauma and build strength with serenity in this crazy, beautiful, mad world we live in.
