Hello Yogis, 

Welcome to my page and thank you for stopping by! 

I am at the beginning of my teaching yoga journey but already feel so lucky to have taught people through lockdown online to help them through a challenging time. My business is called Soulyoga and i'm so excited to be launching now and my new classes this summer! I love nature and being outdoors so for me teaching yoga outside (when the weather allows) is so important to me. I feel more grounded and connected when i practice outdoors and strangely more flexible. So i intend to take my teaching to the beach this summer and maybe take a cheeky swim after classes as sea swimming is another enjoyment of mine and great for the body and soul. 

I recently completed my 200hr teacher training in Topsham Devon, with a fantastic teacher Lisa Roberts. I have been doing yoga for 9 years and found it has really helped me through some challenging times both emotionally and physically. I have learnt so much through my own battles with my body that i hope i can use this experience to help others. Yoga is a beautiful journey but not without its frustrations, i have learnt to love my body however it is feeling at any moment in time but this hasn't come easily. We all have our individual challenges to overcome and if i can play a part in helping others on that journey then i cant think of many things that are more rewarding. 

I like to focus my teaching on alignment as this is fundamental to keeping the body safe and for keeping the integrity of the poses not at the expense of nailing that peak pose (although it is an amazing feeling when it all falls into place). I also like variety so like to theme my classes or work on a particular body part or peak pose. 

I'm super excited to be starting this journey, i have a desk based job and the aim is to move away from this and teach more and more. Wish me luck!
