Overview

I first started practising yoga in 2011 whilst travelling in Australia. As my travels continued to New Zealand, Southern Africa, Jersey and back home, the one constant that remained was yoga. I was hooked!

I returned to my career as a Teacher of Psychology following my travels, a job which I found highly stressful, and I found yoga to be hugely beneficial in managing that stress. My passion for yoga continued to grow, as did my desire to learn more about it and to share the benefit it brought to me with others. It was time to swap ‘Western Psychology’ for ‘Eastern Psychology’!

And so, I left my Psychology Teaching role behind and completed a 200 hour Yoga Alliance accredited Teacher Training Course in Goa. Shortly after returning from India, I qualified as a Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga Teacher trained with appleyoga, and most recently I have achieved a Children's Yoga Instructor qualification through Children's Yoga Tree.

Based in the North West of England, covering Blackrod, Horwich, Bolton, Wigan, Chorley and surrounding areas, I teach a variety of styles including Iyengar inspired Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow, Pre and Postnatal yoga, and Children's yoga for children aged 3-11 years. My classes tend to follow a theme or focus, and when teaching I encourage correct alignment, which is vital for preventing injury, enhancing well-being and recovery, and aiding progression of your practice. I like my classes to be uplifting and friendly, creating a relaxed, safe environment in which you can take the time to let go and also feel confident in challenging yourself further.
