Overview

Proper Northern Yoga began as a donation based class ona  beach in gOa, it's founder Hannah fresh out of her incredible Hatha training from SHiva Shakti School. She had initally come to yoga as a form of exercise ten years previously but had fallen in love with the subtle way yoga moved both mind and body into a more positive stratosphere. After a life changing diagnosis, Hannah re-assessed her situation and decided it was time to immerse herself in a mroe yogic lifestyle, this led her to complete her training, to travel and to eventually open her own studio in her hometown of Kendal.

Proper Northern Yoga has now grown considerably and boasts it's very own yoga space "The Yoga Factory". There, Hannah runs a number of Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin based classes. Her light and playful manner, mixed with a touch of proper northern grit make her classes accessible and entertaining to even the most resistant future yogis. Her mission is to get the world going yoga mad.

Hannah recently trained in Sound Healing Therapy at the Kathmandu Centre of Healing and is undertaking an Indian head massage course. She loves to incorporate restorative, sound and massage techniques into her students practice so they can reap the benefits of a self soothing practice.

Alongside running her succesful studio, Hannah is teaming up with Hidden Nepal adventures to bring you Yoga Treks in the breathtaking Annapurna region. More info can be found on her website.

She regularly runs free outdoor events in the UK and offers Sound Bowl Relaxations. Among other things Hannah was once an English teacher and now delights in bringing yoga to teens and young yogis alike. She often runs family yoga events.
