Hi, I'm Emily and Irun 'YEH Yoga' in London! 

 'YEH not MEH' has been my mantra of 2017, and I wantto inspire everyone who practises with me to realise their full potential forhappiness and say YEH to doing what feels good and what makes them happy, not feeling a sense of 'MEH' about things that they feel they should be doing.

Completing my 200 hour teacher training in Mysore, India, naturally I specialised in Ashtanga yoga,and the classes I teach have strong Ashtanga influence. I love the dynamism of Ashtanga and the detoxifying aspects, I think it is so important to warm the body up properly at the start of each session, to minimise risk of injury and maximise flexibility. Nothing the beats the feeling of spending time in sweet savasana afterwards!

 

The most important thing I learnt on my YTT was something my teacher said to me that really struck a cord with me: "you can never consciously hurt yourself, so always be thinking about each tiny movement you are making". 

This is so true for the way our actions and decisions influence our everyday lives,unconscious action can lead to scenarios that hurt us, so this is my ultimate advice for life both on and off the mat.

 

Yoga classes with me are full of smiles, laughter and not taking ourselves too seriously! My aim is to get those who feel yoga may not be for them, to see that it really is for everybody and share the joy and happiness I've found through it, with all! 

I currently teach slow-flow vinyasa classes.
