Overview

Hi

My name is Ola and I'm a very smiley, full of energy human being:) I have become yoga teacher in 2014 when I decided to go to Goa to do my teacher training. My first experience with yoga was not great. From what i remember, the first yoga class was totally not what i expected. It was too slow for me, didn't have any flow and I couldn't hear the world the teacher was saying even though it was only 2 of us in a class. I thought it was the fault of the teacher -  to slow, very silent voice etc. Then I tried my second class, dynamic flow, which was what I LOVED from the first class! It was like a workout. I've been practising this style for few years and finally decided to go to do my teacher training. I knew I will be teaching, as I wanted show others that yoga is great way of exercise! Time spent in India opened my eyes to other very important aspects of yoga like using breath, engaging bandhas or simply meditate. Suddenly yoga started to be more than just exercise to me. It has change my lifestyle and the way of thinking. I believe I'm much more happier and healthier human being because of yoga:)

I currently teach 5 classes a week (as yoga is my part time job. I work as web designer full time). I teach in gym and in village halls and give private lessons. My passion for teaching is still dynamic yoga, mainly inspired by ashtanga style, but I also love teaching gentle class as it's a great from of relaxation by keeping your body mobile.

My classes are always different, I don't think I ever thought exactly the same class twice. There are so many amazing teachers out there that give me plenty of inspirations. I also love anatomy approach to yoga, therefore I often use that approach in my classes. I found it very interesting for students, they love learning about their body and I love sharing it too! Today when I look back at my first yoga class, I know it was not a teacher fault that I didn't like it. It just wasn't the class for me. I needed something different at that time, however today could be a different story. I think we should try to take a new day and each class as a first time experience, as our body is different every day and have different needs.

My main reasons for teaching yoga is that: it gives people time to be with themselves (so missed nowadays 'me time'), it challenges them (and show them that they can do better in whatever they do ), teach them discipline (but with a fun factor) and it gives ME a massive boost of energy! (I can be extremely tired but as soon as I enter the yoga room and say 'connect with your breath' I'm like a newborn again and I LOVE this feeling).
