Overview

I trained as a Vinyasa yoga teacher and my teaching combines this flowing form of yoga with time to observe the breath and personal reflection.

My principal yoga teacher has been Katy Appleton. She combines a beautiful yoga practice with a humour and zest for life. With her gift for teaching she has taken me on many yoga adventures.

Yogi Ashokananda added another dimension to my practise. In 2008 I studied with him and completed my Reiki Part One and Two. In 2010 I went on retreat to his ashram in India.

In 2013 I completed my Level One Restorative Yoga Training with Judith Hanson Lasater. I am a certified Relax and Renew ® trainer.  Thanks to zoom, during 2020 and 2021 I have been able to study with Judith and her daughter Lizzie Lasater. I recommend their Experiential Anatomy course to every yoga teacher.

In 2024, I completed a Yoga Nidra teacher training with Melanie Cooper and Yoga Treat.

I continue to study on a formal basis whenever I can. Alongside those amazing teachers listed above, I include workshops and classes with Leila Sadaghee, Bridget Woods Kramer, Mark Holzman, Shiva Rea, Tiffany Cruickshank, Donna Farhi and Caroline Myss among those teachers that have inspired me.

I strive, like many teachers, to embody yoga for the 21st century and to share this ancient tradition in a way that is relevant for the busy lives we lead today.

I am deeply grateful to all of my teachers and my students, from whom I have also learned much.

Bridget provides a welcoming, friendly and compassionate space to bring your own unique version of you along to. Her guidance is calm, thoughtful and sensitive, steeped in her long experience and love of yoga. I always look forward to turning up to her evening class, and finishing with a long luxurious shavasana.

I really enjoy my yoga classes. I mainly go in the evening and it gives me time to relax, quiet time, space to breathe, is great to stretch your body but also clear your mind. It is both relaxing and refreshing. Bridget always asks how we are - she looks after us and is great, inspiring teacher.
