Overview

Within my classes I strive to create an enriching, soulful experience with challenge and pace suitable for all. I focus consistently  on reinforcing safety of movement within asanas and have a passion for elevating participants experiences by adapting to the group needs and energy levels on any given occasion.

Yoga has truly transformed my own wellbeing as previously I had suffered from chronic back pain and sciatica for over 12 years. In addition as a secondary school teacher of 19 years I have had to operate within a “highly charged “ working environment, often leading to “burn out” and high levels of stress. Yoga is the perfect antidote.

I would say my classes are highly structured with lots of room for going “off piste” and exploration to bring in that sense of creativity, challenge and responsiveness to others. My initial training in Edinburgh was Hatha yoga and from this I have developed my own practice and have adapted the sessions I deliver to others. I really do enjoy flow within my classes.  In 2018 I completed the teen yoga and meditation teacher training course which was a natural evolution for me. Additionally I completed a Yin intensive 50 hours teacher training course in Glasgow in May 2019 and have recently completed an online Yoga Nidra Intensive training course in May 2020.  Both of these additional practices are a wonderful complement to my current offerings and have elevated my own knowledge, skill and practice to a deepened level.
