Overview

I really believe that we teach what we need to learn. I feel we can do yoga in the good times and it anchors us in the toughest of times. Yoga has guided through periods of great joy and great sadness, supported me as I became a Mum and right now it meets my deep need to ground and move out of my head as I navigate divorce after a 20 year relationship. It guides me to grow through pain, rather than resist pain. I started doing yoga in the late 90s to help relieve stress of the corporate world, my boss at the time introduced me to the teachings of Simon Low and in 2005 I decided to do my Foundation Teacher training with Simon Low, graduating in October 2006. I became a Mum in 2007, after which point I became very drawn to studying with women as it responded to all the changes going on in my life and my body. I studied with Francoise Freedman and Birthlight to do diplomas in Pregnancy, baby, postnatal, fertility and birth preparation yoga. I then studied with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli in Well Women yoga and womb yoga to support myself and women through all life cyles.  SInce 2012 my real passion area has been studying restorative yoga to advanced level with maingly Judith Lasate but in addition: Lizze Lasater, Adelene Cheong, Anna Ashby and Bo Forbes. I have also in the last few years greatly enjoyed learning Qi Gong for yoga teachers and mindfulness with Mimi Kuo- Deemer. The real beauty of being a Yoga teacher is that we never stop learning in order to come back home to wholeness and be who we were truly always mean to be and shine out from that place to support and teach others.
