Overview

I started Warm Hearts Yoga in 2013, when I was looking for a yoga class in St Andrews that I could attend with my young daughter.  When I couldn’t find what I was looking for I decided to create it myself.    Over the years, Warm Hearts Yoga grew and evolved and I now teach a wide range of classes for children, families and adults.

I passionately believe that yoga can provide so much more than  strength, flexibility and fitness.  My own yoga practice has helped me to find a sense of calm amidst the chaos, to remain steady through the constant change, to love and accept myself, and to find a path to follow that feels right.

Over the years I have continued to train and study, and I enjoy bringing new elements from my learning into classes.  I have a love of yoga philosophy and embrace the challenge of bringing these ancient ideas into classes in an accessible way.

I have practiced various styles of yoga throughout my life, but  the practice I am always drawn back to is Ashtanga.  The traditional Ashtanga system combines breath and movement to create a moving meditation.  Working with a familiar sequence  of physical postures allows the mind to quieten and provides a mental break whilst still energising the body.
