Overview

I want yoga to empower individuals to feel comfortable in their own bodies. 

I emphasize the importance of making a lasting connection with the body and breath through the cultivation of self-enquiry. Yoga’s purpose is not to encourage an obsession with the physical form, but to give the individual enough time and attention to function healthily and happily.  My teaching provides a safe learning environment so that people can investigate their own body and make their own choices. My students have described my classes as compassionate and inclusive.

Nearly every aspect of yoga is intricately linked to the breath, and regular practice provides the time to be more aware of the breath and to spend time breathing deeper than might normally happen in everyday life. I teach you how to use your breath to help relax the body and to control the breath even when the body is active.

I qualified with the British Wheel of Yoga in 2013 and have been teaching in the communities of Wells, Glastonbury and Street ever since. In 2019 I completed training with the Yoga in Healthcare Alliance which seeks to support people living in social isolation and people suffering with anxiety and depression. I have trained in Pregnancy and Postnatal Yoga, Children’s Yoga and Chair Yoga.
