Overview

I’m Annabel, from South London. I’ve been practicing yoga since my teens, I found yoga as a way of coping with the everyday stress of our busy culture. I was introduced to yoga by my mother. After seeing yoga and meditation reduce the symptoms of a stress-induced health issue in my mother I became very passionate about the healing powers of yoga and meditation.

Since my teens I’ve been trying different types of yoga and I’ve learned how every strand of yoga has its purpose.

In November 2018 I travelled to Goa, India to study Ashtanga Yoga (8 Limbed Yoga), an ancient yoga tradition originating from the Himalayas. I studied; Asana (postures), Pranayama (breathing), Meditation, Mantras (chanting), Philosophy of yoga, Anatomy, Ayurveda (traditional Hindu medicine). 

I believe everyone has a right to feel calm and content. I’ll help to guide my students into a space of calmness and I aim to enable them to practice these techniques in their solo self practice too. Through my warm, nurturing teaching method, I want to make my students feel at ease, so that they'll leave feeling like they've created space within themselves.
