Overview

I have always been an active person, but when yoga found me, I was in need of something a little deeper than purely physicality. I believe passionately in the goodness, nourishment and vitality that yoga brings.

After training, studying and graduating under Free Soul Yoga, which was an incredible adventure and tremendous personal journey, I have been able to begin to realise my dream.

My mission is to help others to not only reach their physical and aesthetic goals, but to nurture and encourage mindfulness. I am always learning and growing and that is the beauty of any yoga journey, there is always more to open your heart and mind to, new levels of asana to reach and the benefits are countless. I want to help people to empower themselves, to reduce daily stress and bring that feeling of sanctuary, as we challenge ourselves and take the time to care for ourselves, opening our hearts to the universe.

I specialise in Hatha and Vinyasa styles, relaxation and pranayama are always involved in my classes. I am also trained in beginners Ashtanga, gentle yoga and meditation. These elements can be seen in the classes that I teach. I like to mix it up and allow the intention of each class to take me to the poses or flows that balance the class and engage my students. I love a good work out and to challenge myself in my personal practice, so this comes through in my classes, however, I am all about balance and I embrace restorative or resting poses throughout any dynamic class.

I also love putting together truly healing and restorative classes to bring grounding and create a cocoon of safety for my students, to deepen their experience and access sweet relaxation, sometimes bringing in the Yoga Nidra experiences that I enjoyed during my training.

I find it a to be such a privilege to teach one to one sessions, I always aim to bring a personal touch to all of my classes, especially during my one to one's. It is an honour to be entrusted to help someone who comes to me wanting to work on something in particular, maybe to improve a certain pose or series, or to learn new techniques or preparations. Or when someone comes to me in need of healing in some way, whether it be body, mind or both. It is wonderful to see change in people and to watch them flourish!

Karma yoga is close to my heart and I like to practice it within my local community as well as supporting others with their Karma yoga projects. I currently teach at a local care home for dementia patients and I thoroughly enjoy bringing a cup of fresh air to the residents lives there.

I have a keen interest in herbalism, it is something I am studying gradually in my spare time and something I certainly like to incorporate at times in my classes when appropriate, whether it is sharing information or recipes and starting a conversation with my little burgeoning yoga community.

I treasure all that I have learnt so far on my yoga journey and I embrace all that is to come on this continuous adventure of discovery and beyond.
