Overview

I qualified as a yoga teacher in 2018, with the Jill Jones School of Yoga in Hampshire.  I specialise in hatha yoga, with a hint of kundalini magic!  As well as postures, pranayama practices, mediation and relaxation are an important part of my classes.  I am completed my Yoga for Children 40 hours teacher training in March 2019.  Having been a primary school teacher for almost fourteen years, with nine years working as a Special Educational Needs Coordinator,  I am passionate about making a difference to people's lives through my work.  I am excited that I now also have the opportunity to do this through teaching yoga.  

Whatever your age or experience, I feel that my yoga classes increase confidence and positive self-image, develop body awareness and flexibility, as well as help to manage everyday stress through breathing, mediation, healthy movement and relaxation.  I offer modifications for each posture, so that anyone can feel comfortable to challenge themselves in a non-competitive environment.  I always include a relaxation which is linked to the theme of the practice, and have been told on many occasions by my students that they sleep much better after my class!  

As a dedicated yoga, I enjoy practising a range of styles, attending weekly hatha, ashtanga and yin influenced classes. Daily meditation has become an important part of my day and has brought huge benefits to my life, particularly in challenging times.
