Amanda Coulson (dip.FRYOG) began practicing Hatha Yoga in 1987 and has been teaching Comprehensive Hatha Yoga since 1997 having studied for 3 years with Swami Satyaratnananda Saraswati in the Satyananda or Bihar tradition. In 2002 Amanda also completed the 7 day Hatha Yoga Intensive residential course at the Mandala Yoga Ashram in Wales, and has attended numerous CPD days including  teachers such as Ianthe Hoskins, Philip Jones, Dr Robin Munro, Peter Blackaby and Gary Carter.  Since qualifying Amanda has taught in both the Public and Private sector . She specialises in therapeutic Hatha Yoga and Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation) at an internationally recognised rehabilitation clinic since 2000.

In 2002 Amanda became a course tutor and assessor for The Friends of Yoga Society International (FRYOG) . Amanda has also held the post of Chairman for 3 years and Training and Standards Officer for 3 years which were voluntary posts (Karma Yoga) for the Society and is currently Director of Teacher Training. Amanda is an IYN (Independent Yoga Network) Elder and an ERYT-500  and YACEP (continual professional development provider) for Yoga Alliance USA.

Amanda teaches a friendly and welcoming recuperative style yoga class at Yoga for Harmony on Tuesday mornings 10-11am based on the Hatha Yoga Pawanmuktasanas which is suitable for all, particularly those recovering from surgery or serious illness both physical and mental.
