Kassi Milne-Smith, a qualified yoga teacher and wellbeing expert who specialises in vinyasa flow, yin and chair yoga for people with a wide range of motivations and capabilities.

There is an online yoga programme that is suitable for everyone – whether you’re a beginner or have done some yoga before.

Kassi will share with you, yoga techniques and practices that will strengthen your mind and body while promoting serenity and wellbeing. In her classes you will explore Breathwork/Pranayama that will help slow down the busy mind and find focus on the present. These techniques can be practised away from the mat/chair to find calm when trying to sleep or just when needed.

Kassi teaches vinyasa flow yoga, yin and chair yoga for people less mobile. She tailors her classes to suit the needs and capabilities of the students – you can work at your own level to develop your yoga practice, with Kassi’s expert guidance and warm encouragement.

Kassi says, “I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to practice yoga however mobile they are. My students range from 19-93. Yoga not only builds strength, movement and flexibility within the body but also builds strength and resilience in the mind. It uses breathwork and mindfulness techniques to calm you and through sequences of movement and stillness in postures, it helps your body build strength, stability, balance and flexibility.”

What you’ll need

For online Yoga classes - you will need a device with a camera and a screen (laptop, smartphone or tablet) to connect to the online class using the Zoom platform – if you need help with setting this up, please get in touch. An email with a link that you simply click on will be sent each week.

A yoga mat or chair (for chair yoga) and a calm space in your home with room around it to stretch. 

About Kassi

I’m a holistic therapist and am qualified as a reflexologist, massage therapist and yoga teacher – my love of yoga was ignited when I suffered with chronic back issues from a disc collapse. I had practised yoga to help manage the pain and stay fit before having a repair operation: afterwards, yoga was a vital part of my recuperation and recovery.

I made the decision to train as a yoga teacher following the death of my mum. Since then, teaching and practising yoga has given me a new, positive and grounding focus on helping others to find relaxation, calm and strength.
