Overview

I have had yoga in my life since finishing my Physiotherapy degree in 2000.

Initially I felt that it didn't push me enough, I didn't feel enough but then I found vinyasa - there is a style of yoga that's right for everyone and that was mine!

Throughout my life I have moved around a lot, sometimes I would find a great class and other times that would be hard to find.

So, when I was at a point in life where I needed some time out from a stressful situation at work, I decided to learn to be a teacher, so I could always have a great class to go to and because it just makes you feel better!

I am an experienced musculoskeletal Physiotherapist.

I teach balanced, dynamic and creative vinyasa, and as I’m a Physio, flows and poses to help with injuries or to avoid injury often find there way into the class.

My classes are creative, fun and engaging. I have been teaching since 2014 and haven’t ever taught the same class twice.

My class is super friendly and has all types of people and levels in it. If you feel that you want to challenge yourself, pack in lots of poses, feel stronger, more flexible and calmer, my class is right for you.

I also teach

Yoga for medical conditions

1:1 classes, these give you an individual class based on your priorities

Small groups

Corporate classes, these are created and choreographed by your goals - team building, control, balance, stress relief

Quotes from students:

‘I love going to Catherine’s class because there’s no pressure but she makes me feel I can give it a go’

‘The difference in the way my body feels now from when I first came is amazing’

‘Finding this class was the best thing that happened to me this year’

Catherine is the most grounded and knowledgeable yoga teacher I have experienced. Her professional background along with her friendly, pragmatic style makes yoga for me more accessible. I definitely benefit from her creative, fun classes and her ability to offer up a range of poses to cater for how you are feeling on a particular evening and according to your ability. Since regularly attending Catherine’s classes I have definitely noticed an improvement in my balance and flexibility, highlighted when I’m sailing our boat and needing to move around, in and out of dinghies on to pontoons! In summary a great teacher who engages with all of us and creates a fun yet calming environment for us to practice.

I have been attending Catherine’s classes for about 5 years now. Every week’s class is different and challenging without being stressful. Catherine shows genuine care and interest in the people that come to her class. She has unconditional positive regard for us all. She is knowledgeable, but most importantly approachable. I would (and have) recommended her to my friends.

Fantastic, fun and super friendly! I had a back injury 18 months ago and Catherine's classes have really helped me with my journey to recovery. Beautifully structured and dynamic. Even if I can't do something, Catherine takes the time to show me an alternative pose so that I can work towards the full movement. Simply the best part of my week.
