We have noticed in recent weeks that there’s been some specialist Yoga workshops being run which include the consumption of alcohol, either before, during or after a Yoga workshop/class.

This concerns us! Alcohol as far as we know has no known health benefits, you don’t need us to tell you that it can be a highly addictive substance. It is not our place to tell you whether or not to consume alcohol in your daily lives, but where Yoga is concerned in our opinion the two do not mix! We work hard to distinguish our members from other teachers with our high standards and we do not want our name to be brought into disrepute. We have attached a link to our Code of Practice for your information.

We have been in touch with our insurance provider, Balens Ltd as we are concerned about the safety of allowing students to consume alcohol while practicing Yoga.

Our policies will NOT cover teachers who chose to run Yoga classes and/or workshops which include the consumption of alcohol. Further information about our Insurance Policy can be found here.

To summarise, if you wish to run Yoga workshops, keep them about Yoga and other related topics, please do not bring alcohol into the Yoga class.

Warm wishes
