The Waitrose Yoga initiative is growing rapidly and I wish to extend my invitation to ALL Yoga Alliance Professionals qualified teachers to have a look at the Waitrose website for information on the classes, study this opportunity and then decide if you want to be part of it.

We will send you details to keep you informed as plans mature and this initiative grows.
Recap on the history of this initiative;
In 2017 we piloted the first 9 weeks at 2 Waitrose supermarkets, they were a success and so we continued…
So far this year, in 2018 we have taken it to the next level! A trial program with one-hour yoga classes on 3 nights; Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at Basingstoke, Newbury and Banbury. We will be adding Cheltenham classes starting after Easter, and in May we plan to start at the Waitrose cookery school North London. Which makes it to a total of 5 venues; Basingstoke, Newbury, Banbury, Cheltenham and North London.
Going forward, we have already been asked to plan and be ready to implement the same program to additional Waitrose sites, bringing the total number of venues that will provide yoga to 16. This means there will be 48 yoga sessions per week!
Over the next year and into 2019, the potential for this initiative could build up to 190 Waitrose supermarkets offering yoga sessions, which is 1710 yoga sessions per week!
Sam Rao Corp Yoga Ltd. is the preferred supplier to Waitrose with a service level agreement that covers a range of logistics including; providing yoga mats, feedback documentation, reporting on a monthly basis plus a survey to provide evidence-based reports on the health benefits of this initiative.
The purpose of this update is that, through Yoga Alliance Professionals, I want to reach and create an interest in all teachers to participate and share in the benefits of this lovely program.
