The Prime Minister has announced a proposed roadmap for England to move out of lockdown, which includes five suggested dates to gradually ease restrictions. These dates are subject to change and will depend on England passing four key tests.
We appreciate that many of you are concerned about your classes and would like to prepare for the reopening of in-person lessons. To allay these worries, you can find the proposed roadmap for returning to in-person classes below.
The government will announce one week in advance whether the restrictions will be lifted as planned. Please follow the government guidelines to ensure you are following lockdown legislation.
08/03/2021 - Schools to reopen for face to face teaching. Yoga classes can be carried out in schools as part of educational provision, and children’s classes provided as wraparound care.
29/03/2021 - Formally organised yoga classes for adults and under-18s can also restart outdoors for up to 30 people (including the instructor). Social distancing measures should be adhered to.
12/04/2021 - Indoor leisure centres and gyms can reopen for individual training. 1:1 coaching can restart at this time, providing COVID secure protocols are being followed. Private classes cannot take in private homes, they should only be held in designated venues.
17/05/2021 - Organised indoor group yoga classes can begin providing the venue follows Covid-secure guidance. You can read our recommendations for teaching yoga classes indoors here.
19/07/2021 - All legal limits on social contact will be removed.
