I took up a regular Yoga practice in 2015. I have always been teaching something and enjoying it immensely. It didn't take long for me to fall in love with the practice, discovering newfound focus and energy, so I graduated in February 2017 under the wonderful guidance of Yogacharya Lalit Kumar and his school in India.
Very grateful for my education, I returned in early 2019 for my 500hr Teacher Training Course.
Yoga has become part of my daily life and I believe that daily dedication is essential for dealing with the chaotic element of modern living.
I have kept practising since, teaching in schools, with the Sports Club "Condor" in Hamburg, as well as giving private classes and teaching for 3T Fossegrenda in Trondheim, Norway. I am very happy to have participated in my first two retreats!
Currently I work freelance, holding several classes a week at the Trondheim Pole Studio.
I embrace the fact that yoga is different for everyone so I offer props and modifications throughout the class. My classes vary, depending on the people present and their energy at that moment. I come with a plan, but I adjust it to not strain a tired class, but have them leave refreshed - or to really strengthen a class with focus and determination.
I sometimes use music, but not always - the only music we truly need is the flowing of our own breath.
With newer classes I do plenty of explaining to ensure safe and correct alignment in your postures, so you’re sure to leave feeling stronger, calmer and focused. With more experienced students I do a little less talking to let them experience the silence and focus on themselves.
