Overview

Bakasana ...
I find the balance on my hands, inside myself, I'm breathing slowly.
Chaturanga ...
I exhale and flight back, extending my body, landing softly.
Urdhva ...
I close my eyes and breathe in, I feel the air flowing in me.
Adho Mukha ...
I relax my body, I take the control, I'm ready to go over ...
This is not the chronicle of a journey in an exotic destination, a place far painted with thousand colors, this is the simple tale of two days spent with some friends with a passion for yoga.
I approached this discipline since few months, perhaps for fun, perhaps initially with other purposes, but then I discovered how to travel inside myself putting the attention on the breath, on the heartbeat.
Using concentration, asana by asanas, I feel flowing into me a powerful energy, my body hurts because I'm stiff but then everything disappears and minutes passing very fast, leading me to complete harmony with the whole. Now I'm the water, and I would overwhelm the world with the energy of the sea, now I am a mountain, strong and unshakeable, now I become air, light and vital, now I become fire, warm and relaxing. I feel the body becoming stronger, more flexible, I can hear the voice of my spirit overcoming every tension, sadness or anger. It's like to listen harmonious notes of a piano that cease on a sweet melody waves
This is my yoga, this is the result of two days spent in Senigallia with Annalisa, my teacher, who with great modesty and very easily teach us the right meaning of this discipline. Not a competition, not a  gymnastic based on the perfect execution of the asanas, but rather a inner journey, a journey to discovery themselves, to find out our balance and our own essence.

I wrote these words in 2009, two month later I started my journey in yoga. It happens by chance, at the top of a bad period of my life, but , as often happen, nothing happens without a reason, life is simply offering some opportunities, then it's up to us to be able to take it.

A lot of things happened since then! How much experiences I did in so short time, how many I have still to learn!

I never stopped to be thankful to my yoga teacher Annalisa Zapparoli, she's introduced me to this discipline and day by day she's helping me to grow (...and since 2017 we manage together a small studio in our town!!!).

It's thanks to her and her curiosity if, during the Yoga Festival in Rome in 2010, I met Stewart Gilchrist and his Yogasana practice. With him I completed my teacher training in 2016.

I'm "on the road", a long road...and lot of things to discover!

Massimo is an attentive teacher who manages to guide intense practices adapting them to all levels. He has the extra value of making each of his lessons a physical and spiritual journey together. Giorgia
