Overview

Specialising in Yin Yoga, Meditation and Yin Yang with influences from Taoism, Buddhist traditions, Indian Philosophy and her current Acupuncture studies, Emma is interested in where these traditions meet and how these teachings have the potential of coming alive in the body, in modern life and in a way that is inclusive and accessible to everyone.

Emma encourages learning through experience, the courage to move outside limiting ideas in the reality that we all move, feel, breath and think differently that ultimately influences the ways in which we move into our own worlds and out in the world. Her classes are an intelligently woven fabric in which we cultivate the tools to meet ourselves more openly where the practice of intimacy has the freedom to come to life.

Teaching with passion and love, Emma creates both a physical and inner journey through being present and awake. A registered ‘Chartered Level 2 Teacher and Trainer’ with Yoga Alliance Professionals, Emma brings over 3000 hours of teaching experience through almost 9 years of teaching Yoga, over 1000 hours of certificated study and her knowledge as an Acupuncturist into each and every practise space. This year, Emma will be returning to California for her fifth consecutive year of continued study with Paul and Suzee Grilley. She has also undertaken certificated studies with Sarah Powers, Michael Stone, The Yoga People, With-Yin Yoga, Seane Corn, Shiva Rae, Edward Clarke and Yoga London.

Emma's passion for yoga and the 5 elements is inspirational. Her authentic approach to practice leads you on a journey which guides and takes you to a place of inquiry, challenge and self discovery. Whether you are a yoga teacher or not ( and I am not), this course enables you to think about and reflect on life and, more importantly, yourself and the decisions you make. It was certainly a life changer for me. Emma empowers. She enables her student to be who that want to be and her caring and compassionate style supports all learners. The Five Elements course is lots of fun - you'll laugh and cry. It's an absolute must.

As someone who has practiced yoga with frequent infrequency over the years, Emma’s course made a space for me to find ‘my’ yoga. A gift I will have for life now and I am so grateful. The five elements theory and anatomy also opens a door to a deeper understanding of ourselves and others in a way I hadn’t expected. Thank you Emma. Highly recommend this course.

What a fabulous joy and privilege to spend a week with Emma Peel for the Five Movements training. I can honestly say it was life changing. Emma has such deep learning, knowledge and curiosity which she shares with great generosity. She creates a safe environment where the participant can be true to themselves. I loved the structure of the course. I thought that the fee was absolutely value for money. I would love to repeat the course again soon as it is so nourishing.

I attended Emma's yin yoga course last year and found it both enjoyable and informative at the same time. The blissful morning practices were a great start to the day and the course content so diligently created and shared with passion. The course was a really safe environment for asking questions and sharing - the energy was lovely. I did the course just to deepen my practice/understanding and would recommended it to people in a similar situation even if you aren't a yoga teacher.

Training with Emma is different from other training & will exceed your expectations. Emma has a huge knowledge & understanding of anatomy, TCM & different yoga philosophies & she brings these & more together in a practical & experiential way so by the end you’ll have a greater understanding of your body, how each movement feels in it, how it moves & what’s unchanging about it. She brought the 5 Elements/Movements to life in a way that other teachers haven’t & is more relatable to my life & how I live. If you're a teacher, what you learn will change how you teach & if (like me) you're a student, what you learn will change how you practice & more importantly, your life.
