Our commitment to protecting the highest standards in yoga is the same from the day we launched:
- Further training courses must be led by teachers who have a minimum 2000 training hours and 4 years of teaching experience.
- Foundation training courses must be led by teachers who have a minimum 4000 teaching hours and 8 years of teaching experience.
We continue to trust the knowledge and expertise of experienced teachers in creating training courses that prepare the fellow teachers to teach new techniques and skills.
What is changing on October 15th is that we will be providing transparency to yoga teachers around the world on the items that matter most to them, in addition to the curriculum.
The Trainee Success Score was created in response to the Yoga Teacher Revolution to help trainers who invest in their graduate’s success to stand out.
HERE IS HOW THE TRAINEE SUCCESS SCORE IS CALCULATED:
1. Post-Graduation Support (90 Days Minimum)
Why It Matters to Potential Trainees:
One of the most impactful offerings you can include in your courses is a way to ensure your trainees receive support past their graduation. By including how you support their journey, you give them confidence they won’t feel lost or disconnected after certification. You want potential trainees to know they will never lack clear steps, teaching opportunities, or guidance on applying what they’ve learned.

This may include check-ins, career advice, follow-up emails, a private community, or guidance on Growth Journey tools. Once this field is filled out and the syllabus is approved, you’ll earn the point for that course.

Complete the newly added “Post-Graduation Support” question added to your accredited course form.

Have at least one active, publicly listed course on our directory. That’s it. Once your course is live and visible, you automatically earn the point.
6. HAVE AT LEAST ONE ACTIVE COURSE LISTED ON YOUR BRAND LISTING
Why It Matters:
Teachers want to learn from trainers who are active and engaged, not inactive profiles or legacy listings. This point helps us highlight trainers who are currently investing in the profession and available to support new students.
Public Benefit:
This signals to prospective teachers that your school is open for enrollment and actively supporting the next generation of yoga professionals.

When the platform goes live on October 15th, search for your graduates and start following them. It’s quick, meaningful, and it keeps the connection alive.

HOW YOU EARN THIS POINT:
Once 10 or more verified yoga teachers follow your trainer profile within a 12-month period, this point is automatically awarded.
You can encourage followers by:
- Sharing your trainer profile link with your graduate list.
- Inviting students to follow you at the end of your course.
- Including a “Follow Me on Yoga Pros” reminder in your emails or event pages.
NEXT STEP:
On October 15th, make sure your trainer profile is updated and ready to share. The moment you hit 10 followers, your training brand enters a whole new level of reach and recognition.
8. HAVE AT LEAST 10 FOLLOWERS ON YOUR TRAINER PROFILE (PAST 12 MONTHS)

“YOGA TEACHERS TO FEEL INVISIBLE AFTER GRADUATION.”
HOW YOU EARN THIS POINT:
This point is awarded when you publicly congratulate at least one of your graduates for a professional milestone within the past 60 days using the “Congratulate” button inside the platform.
These can include:
- Completing a challenge
- Publishing a new workshop or event
- Unlocking a specialization
- Posting a milestone on their profile
NEXT STEP:
You’ll want to be prepared to follow your past-graduates on October 1st so that you can be notified whenever they progress in their careers. The ability to “Congratulate” your graduates also goes live on October 1st.
10. CONGRATULATE YOUR GRADUATES FOR THEIR PROGRESS (WITHIN THE LAST 60 DAYS)

That’s why we built a feature that lets you easily celebrate your graduates’ milestones, whether they’ve just posted their first event, completed a challenge, or added a new qualification to their LiveCV.
With one click, you can publicly congratulate them and let them know someone sees their progress and cares.
This small gesture sends a big message: “You’re not on an island. I see you. Keep going.”
