All Trainers agree to abide by the following terms:
1. A registered Senior Yoga Teacher will lead all Training Courses with a minimum of 8 years and 4000 hours of teaching experience since graduating as a teacher. For Foundation courses, the Senior Teacher must teach 70% of the course.
2. Where practical and possible, Trainers agree to abide by the recommended Best Practices.
3. Agree to act as diligent ‘Gatekeepers’ in ensuring both:
a) Students are ready to join a Training Course before accepting applications
b) Trainees are ready to Graduate and teach before being issued a Certificate
4. Agree that there is a serious challenge awaiting future teachers as the industry is saturated with unqualified teachers. To help improve this, trainers will promote Yoga Alliance Professionals to their trainees and explain why and how we work together in partnership to help them during and after the course. This includes discussing the Career Path and Further Training options.
5. Agree to send a list of all Trainees (non-intensive foundation courses only) to Yoga Alliance Professionals so we can give them a free Trainee Membership.
6. Agree to send a list of all Graduates (all foundation courses) to Yoga Alliance Professionals so we can invite them to join as a teacher.
7. Agree to fully disclose their partnership with Yoga Alliance Professionals in all communications relating to their training courses, by displaying the Yoga Alliance Professionals logo on website, social media and marketing material.
