Overview

TINA TOFT - FOUNDER OF YOGI HEALTH & YOGI TEACHER TRAINING     https://www.yogihealth.co.uk/ & www.tinatoft.com

My working life so far seems to have revolved around health and food from nursing to product design within the food industry.

Yoga found me a few decades ago and opened my eyes to a totally new way of living my physical and mindful life. I loved it so much I became a Yogi - teaching others here and abroad. As a registered teacher IYN500, I eventually became a Yoga Elder, a pre- and post-natal teacher, a specialist children’s yoga teacher and a practising endocrine disorders specialist.

Yet somehow I was still missing the final jigsaw piece - until i discovered the Science of Ayurveda. Here was a way to further balance my body through diet and digestion and my journey took a new turn.

Training in India and the UK to become an Ayurvedic Practitioner and Nutritionist has only enhanced my passion for sharing the knowledge and health benefits I have grown to appreciate so much.

I teach yoga, train the next generation yoga teachers at my Yogi Teacher Training Academy and of course see my private clients for Ayurvedic, diet management and life style counselling. I run Ayurvedic retreats, events and treatment based courses and I also produce my range of Yogi Health Ayurvedic Inspiration Products.”

If you are looking for a guide, teacher, mentor in all things yoga or ayurveda, Tina's wealth of knowledge and wisdom, her big heart and great sense of humour means she has the right attributes to guide you in the next stage of your journey. I have recently completed 100hr Advanced Yoga Teacher Training; what a life changing experience. Welcomed with open arms, I felt tended to, listened to and confident to ask questions to get the most from this. Her teaching infused yoga with ayurveda, drawing upon her experience in Western and Eastern healthcare, her yoga teaching and her life experience to deepen our understanding of yoga. What sets this course apart is ayurveda, she wanted to ensure we grasped the principles, left in the best possible health, what we learnt would ensure our families the best health and that we teach with a deeper understanding of those we serve. Tina honed in on what we each needed to provide a bespoke experience. I can't wait for Tina to mentor me in the future

Tina is an exceptionally skilled trainer. I completed the 100 hours Advanced course and have found it transformational. Tina delivers the training through an ayurvedic lens and therefore gives a different perspective to the more general yoga teaching training I have had. She is incredibly kind and compassionate and is extremely generous with her time. In addition to delivering excellent and life-changing courses, Tina is a mentor and I look forward to working with her so that I can ensure the changes I want to make in my yoga career actually happen. I can not thank Tina enough and I am so excited about the future.

Tina's 200hr foundation course is so much more than a grounding in the fundamentals of yoga teaching. Tina’s many years of yoga practice and teaching, along with her knowledge as an Ayurvedic practitioner and her experience off the mat, make it a very special experience. Yes, the postures, philosophy and anatomy modules you’d expect to see are all covered, but the real magic is in the way Tina shares her expertise and obvious passion for yoga that supports health and wellbeing, along with the connection that develops through the time shared together in a beautiful residential setting. This course has given me the confidence to share my love of yoga with others; excitement about developing my own practice and lots of practical guidance on how to cultivate a yogic way of life, even in our busy world. If you’re reading this and wondering whether to take that next step all I can say is - do it and you won’t regret it! Thank you, Tina, namaste

I had asked a well respected yoga teacher friend to find me the best person to approach locally as I wanted to find yoga teaching from an Ayurvedic perspective with strong emphasis on self protection and self care. I wanted to address the problems I had observed from yoga teaching that can weakening our bodies and at times doing damage. Tina is very supportive in her set up. I felt safe to grow into the training at my level and very comfortable showing areas of difficulty and being reset into protective and secure postures for life long self care as well as feeling I had a safe set up for client work moving forward. The Endocrine system and Yoga philosophy stood equally alongside the physical training. I attended my training as part of a retreat staggered in two parts. The retreat set up was great. We were extremely well taken care of and food was delicious. Would recommend Tina highly for a strong baseline to your future self care or teaching career.
