Overview

I have been practicing various forms of mindful movement and martial arts since I was a teenager, but came eventually to yoga in 2010 during  very stressful time.  Starting with Bikram, but expanding my practice across various Hatha traditions, I found value in them all, but found the discipline and structure of Ashtanga Vinyasa particularly compelling.  In 2015 I travelled to Mysore for my teacher training.  Learning in the city intimately associated with Ashtanga was, for me, a wonderful experience, and really invigorated both my physical and reflective practices.

Since then, I have developed my practice and study, drawing on related practices, such as Yin yoga and Anatomy Trains, to inform my teaching.  My investigation of  Ashtanga Yoga has continued, and I completed an additional Teacher Training Course with David Swenson in 2016, together with workshops with great teachers like David Williams and Nancy Gilgoff, and continue my learning around personalising yoga practice, adjustments, and mindfulness.
