Overview

The word ‘yoga’ comes from the Sanskrit word ‘Yuj’, meaning to yoke, join or unite. At its essence, it’s about joining or integrating all aspects of the individual – body with mind and mind with soul – to achieve new levels of contentment.

I believe yoga is also the union of a shared experience with others, helping each of us to understand who we are, both as individuals and as part of a wider community of people. Sure, yoga can be a form of exercise (it helps to stretch and tone muscles, increase core strength and improve circulation amongst other benefits), but it’s so much more than about achieving ‘goals’ or beating others to a ‘prize’. Yoga celebrates individual meditation, physical exercise and active participation, coaxing us to reach new, personal heights, no matter what we choose to do.

You are practicing yoga the moment you step onto a mat. I believe that everything is connected and that, deep down, there’s more to life than simply ‘what we do’ and ‘who we are’. Through my teaching, I hope to help and inspire others to find new ways to experience life and to reconnect with its natural rhythms. Because, for me, yoga isn’t just a way to work out… It’s a way of life.

Kevin is an amazing yoga teacher. He has a very professional teaching style and puts you at ease. Kevin's classes gave me the confidence i needed in my life. He gave me the confidence to become a yoga teacher myself, offering support throughout my course. Even though i have become a yoga teacher myself, i still attend a weekly class of Kevin's.
