I started yoga over 18 years ago to help with the stress of a demanding job and soon became hooked! A Human Biologist by training I am particularly fascinated by the effects that yoga practices can have on our physical and mental wellbeing. I teach Hatha yoga combining asana (movement), with breath work (pranayama), and guided meditation (iRest Yoga Nidra). I frequently incorporate yogic philosophy into my classes, relating the ancient teachings to modern day challenges.
I am passionate about using the body as a route to revealing our full potential. As such self enquiry and personal empowerment lies at the heart of my teaching. Alongside weekly classes I run workshops, retreats, and an annual 50 hour immersion.
I took my 200 hour TT with Claire Murphy Yoga, and since then have accrued over 400 hours of advanced trainings with expert teachers from around the world. I have a BSc Honors degree in Applied and Human Biology and 20 years experience in medical research. The science of yoga is ever evolving and I strive to incorporate the latest research on movement and mind into my teachings.
