Overview

As we get older, our bodies may not be as flexible or strong as they once were but that doesn't mean we have to give up on staying active and healthy. I firmly believe yoga can help us live well and age well, enabling us to enjoy our precious life.

I teach yoga to people all the way through to their 80s and see the transformational effect yoga can have on people's lives. I help you connect to your mind, body and breath so you can feel GOOD - strong, flexible and relaxed.

I have been practising yoga since the birth of my first child in 2002 and have found the benefits of yoga, meditation and mindfulness enormous. I believe passionately in the power of yoga and the positive impact it can have on one's life. I am a fully-qualified, experienced yoga and meditation teacher. I create a safe, welcoming, friendly space for us to practise yoga together. Students tell me they like my classes because I allow them to work at the level that is right for them. No judgement. No pressure. No expectation. Understanding and respecting that we are all different.

Each term, I run a "Yoga for Charity" Week where I give all my class payments and extra donations to charity. To date, I have raised over £13,000 through teaching yoga. Using yoga to help others.

Sarah is such a easy teacher to get along with, she is very professional and explains everything as she goes along, all with a very soothing voice. She encapsulates various forms of yoga, from those who are fully able, to the likes of me, who are not so able, for which I am very grateful. Being able to follow some sort of exercise in a safe and comfortable environment is just what is needed at the moment.

Sarah does a range of yoga classes so there is something to suit all levels. She is very enthusiastic and explains all positions carefully. She also gives options, so you can choose the right level for you and how you are feeling on the day. There is no competitiveness, so you don’t overstrain and end up injuring yourself. I always feel better after a class with Sarah and enjoy her focus on breathing and the meditative effect of yoga as well.

Sarah's classes are challenging but fun. I started with her as a complete beginner but at no point did I feel out of my depth in her mixed level class. She gives alternatives at all times, leaving you feel like you are achieving something, whilst marvelling at the achievements of the more advanced students!

I was first taught yoga by Sarah on retreat and enjoyed it so much I was sad that I couldn’t make it to her regular ‘in person’ classes because the location wasn’t convenient. Consequently, being able to practise via Zoom has been such an unexpected treat of lockdown. Sarah’s classes are always very well planned, effectively delivered (other teachers are not as clear with their instructions) and encompass an excellent mix of warm up, asanas and relaxation with breath work included occasionally. I recommend her classes wholeheartedly.

I have attended Sarah's mixed level yoga classes and online meditation classes and always come away feeling very calm and relaxed! Her teaching style is very engaging, and fun, and I would thoroughly recommend to others.
