Overview

I was first introduced to Yoga by Rhada Ireland during a holiday on the Greek island of Skyros, in 1991, where I began learning the primary series of Ashtanga Yoga.

I subsequently developed a self practice continuing to learn while attending workshops with Danny Paradise, Leela Miller, John Scott, David Svenson, Gilly Harouvi, Cliff Barber, Richard Freeman, Nancy Gilgoff and BNS Iyengar in Mysore.
I continue to study regularly with experienced teachers.

I first started teaching in 1994 and have run regular private and group classes for children and adults classes since then.
I am an acredited ‘Senior Yoga Teacher’ (SYT) status by Yoga Alliance Professionals. I teach classes mainly in the South Devon area.

I am continually inspired by other practitioners most recently I attended a virtual conference, The Mysore Yoga Conference 2021, hosted by Andrew Eppler. Speakers were Scholars from the Mysore Yoga community.

I like students to feel relaxed and comfortable in my classes. Everyone is welcome, beginners and those who would like to learn more about yogic practices.
The classes are of mixed ability and individually adapted to each persons experience and ability. My teaching evolves as my practice and understanding of yoga evolves. I endeavour to make my classes fun, interesting and challenging.

Further to my yoga studies I attended Dartington College of Arts and gained a BA(hons) degree in Visual Performance in 1999. I continue to perform and make videos .
