Overview

I am first and foremost a yoga student and continue to learn and then share what resonates with me. 2018 saw me complete my 300hr advanced vinyasa training with Jason Crandell with whom I continue to learn from and assist when he is in London. I teach focusing on connection with the breath and emphasis on mindfulness in Vinyasa and Ashtanga fusion styles.

Yoga didn't really knock on my door until I had just turned 30. I was traveling in New Zealand and sought out a class. I found myself in deep understanding with my teacher Greg Dorn and learnt that yoga was not just about flexibility but the connection between mind, body & spirit that comes with an awareness of breath. I found a place on my mat where I could discover more about myself than I had in 30yrs!

Having mental health problems since my late teens, a negative body image, low self esteem and disordered eating I discovered ways of escaping my problems through partying and alcohol. Through the practice I found my mind was changing as well as my body and I was finding a clearer middle path I could follow through life.

I travelled to India a few years later delving more into the philosophy of yoga with a 200hr TTC with Trimurti Yoga. I have traveled back to India every year since. I've completed a 300hr qualification with Parimukti, a 40hr Ashtanga immersion with David Swenson and most recently the 300hr advanced training with Jason Crandell.
