I coach and teach yoga to women who are peri-menopausal or menopausal to help them shine at this significant time in life. I am passionate about sharing a variety of yoga practices that have scientifically proven benefits for many of the issues we face as we enter the second half of life.
While I do some corporate classes and wellbeing days, my main focus is working one to one with women so that they can develop a home practice that is perfectly suited to their needs.
I want women to have a variety of tools to help them navigate their symptoms: from breathing to balance, pelvic floor exercises, strengthening and relaxing sequences, yoga much to offer us at this new stage in our lives.
I started practicing yoga in 1990 and have been teaching for more than 20 years. I studied in India for many years with an Indian Yoga Teacher. I have studied nutritional therapy, Thai yoga massage, pranayama as well as Sanskrit, yoga philosophy and chanting.
I am passionate about the work I do with mid-life women and work with them to:
- Improve personal self-development and confidence
- Develop better balance and proprioception
- Understand how to use breathing as a tool to alter mindset and emotional state
- Focus on individual needs and objectives
- Take ownership of their practice and progress further
- Explore a range of postures: some that strengthen and stabilise the body and some that help to relax the nervous system
