Cherie Lathey is a Yoga Alliance Professionals Senior Yoga Teacher and Director of Yoga Mama and the Yoga Mama Pregnancy Yoga Teacher Training School. She has more than 25 years’ experience as a body worker and has been practising Ashtanga yoga since 1994.
She continues to attend workshops to further her knowledge and travels annually to the Ashtanga Yoga Institute in Mysore, India, to practise under the guidance of R. Sharath Jois. She has hosted her own teacher Nancy Gilgoff in her Putney studio, and has assisted her both in London and Wiltshire.
Having gained her prenatal yoga teaching qualification through the Life Centre in London, Cherie has since gone on to be the creator of the first Pregnancy Yoga App for iPhone and iPad.
Cherie is a regular contributor to OM Yoga and Lifestyle Magazine, Elephant journal and Yoga. She also runs her own blog site Yoga Mama London, in which she shares her own thoughts on yoga and those of others.
She is a committed Ashtanga yogi and has a daily yoga practice. She has a practical East-meets-West approach to yoga and a light-hearted view on life. Cherie is the director of Yoga Mama Ltd and the co-director The Putney Clinic of Physical Therapy.
