Overview

Vedic Astrologer – Bhakti yogi – Life Strategies Coach – Teacher

My teaching and consulting incorporates Vedic astrology and the principles of Dharma and is inspired by the devotional spirit of Bhakti yoga. The aim of my work is to help and serve others in their effort to realise their own Dharma and full potential. I offer one-to-one consultations, individual life strategy courses, and workshops based on my study and research of Dharma and other wisdom traditions at Cranmore Foundation. Visit my website at michaelgeary.co.uk.

Background

I have studied and practised Bhakti Yoga and Vedic Astrology since 1972, living as a Hindu monk in India and the USA, studying with AC Bhaktivedanta Swami until his passing in 1978 and latterly BV Narayan from 1995 to 2010, among various other teachers. I am versed in the Bhakti tradition of nam bhajan, kirtan and seva, including Bhagavad Gita, Bhagavat Purana and Chaitanya Caritamrita.

I was encouraged and mentored in my study of Jyotish (Vedic astrology) by my masters and have practised professionally for the last 35 years, consulting well over 10,000 in that time. I have written books on the subject such as Panchang Moon Astrology, co-hosted a weekly radio show with LBC in London, and founded Panchang.com a website that guides users on selecting auspicious times for their important projects and actions.

The aim of my work as an astrologer, life-strategist and coach is to empower my clients with the self-knowledge and practical tools that help them master their lives. My use of Vedic charts helps me identify their latent potential and the means by which they can realise it.

In 2008 I received my PhD from Florida Vedic College and the Gaudiya Vedanta Samhiti on the subject of the Vedic astrology, specifically on the qualitative influence of astrological cycles in human affairs, based on my research and development work done on the Panchang.com project.

In the same year, I founded Cranmore Foundation, an educational charitable trust, that researches the world’s wisdom traditions to identify universal values and design principles that support the creation of sustainable systems. The Foundation offers the result of its research efforts through the provision of white-papers, consultancy and public dialogue.

My teaching and consultancy offered through Cranmore Academy LLP are based on the Vedic concept of Dharma.  The goal of my work is to help people cultivate a culture of yoga in their lives. The principles of Dharma provide a reliable guide on how they can do this over time and by degrees. My courses are particularly useful for creating an understanding of the yoga culture and the ethos that gives it life. Yoga teachers and yoga teacher training students say that my courses compliment their usual curriculum and further deepen their insights into their own practice and teaching of yoga.

You can read more about my teaching and research at my website and at the Cranmore Foundation website. I invite you to make contact.
