Overview

My name is Shilpi and I am a yoga practitioner, Mandala/yantra artist and mother of two young boys. I see these three roles as intertwined and love to build an asana practice which incorporates these skills of strength, suppleness, perseverance, precision, beauty, subtlety and deep relaxation!

I have been practicing yoga for over ten years and have developed a meditative style of teaching, aiming to energise the body and destress the mind within a structured flow. I know the importance of feeling secure and held within practice and take care to curate each lesson around the individual requirements of my students. I hope that each one of you leaves class feeling refreshed, energised and light as a feather.

I feel confident offering classes to students of all levels: beginners who may want to have a stretch and giggle with a friend, those suffering from sciatic pain looking for a soothing release or students wishing to fine tune an existing practice. Classes can be in person or on Zoom 1:1 or 2:1. It is preferable that you bring your own yoga mat if practicing in person. Other than this, all that is required of you is positive energy and your smile!

I’ve had the absolute joy of working with Shilpi on one of her yoga retreats giving her clients facials and a face yoga class. Shilpi has the most wonderful kind energy. She is calm and so much fun. It is obvious to see Shilpi is a very passionate, caring and expert yoga teacher from chatting with her students and seeing how much they are enjoying themselves and hugely benefitting from her teaching. Next time I’m in London I’ll check out one of Shilpi’s classes for sure!

Shilpi's Chakra balancing workshop was a real tonic for the soul. I felt so relaxed and energised and it was just what I needed. Had a few horrendous days with hormonal challenges but the session was wonderfully nurturing. Made me realise I need to work on my root and sacral chakra. The Indian high tea was just yummy too. Shilpi, keep doing what you are doing - it really helps so many women who are fortunate to cross your path!!

Really lovely class. Very detailed instruction and covered a lot of ground in the time. Great food afterwards. It was all very generous. Thank you!

I'm a big fan of Shilpi and her yoga teaching practice. Her approach is calm, varied and nurturing. No class is the same and every week we tackle a challenging pose that she makes fun and easy for those that aren't so flexible. Best of all, her classes are small and intimate and she really helps to correct and align you in your postures. Her home is warm and inviting and you leave feeling live you've been enveloped in a warm hug. I particularly enjoyed her Tratak Sadhana Mini Retreat. The combination of vinyasa, candle meditation and the delicious ayurvedic lunch was just a real treat. Loved it, signed up for the next one and really look forward to her first yoga retreat!!!

I recently attended a Trataka Sadhana practice with Shilpi she held the class with so much grace and support. I felt relaxed and supported throughout my practice. She is full of knowledge and organised the day with so much attention. Definitely recommend her mini retreat days.
