Hello Yogis and welcome to the page!
So who is ‘Yoga with Andrea’? Fully qualified and insured with Yoga Alliance, I have studied with a variety of yoga instructors/gurus in the past 20 years, finally gaining my teaching qualification with the wonderful Swami Atma Gyanam Saraswati at The Yoga Tree. I have completed courses in Anatomy and Physiology, First Aid, and am a qualified fitness instructor. As part of my continuing development in Yoga, I have studied Eastern philosophies and a variety of yoga styles including Kriya, Kundalini, Ashtanga, Bhakti, Anusara, Yin, Bhava, Vinyasa, Hatha and Karma Yoga to name a few.
Additionally, I have completed an immersion course on Yoga Nidra (psychic sleep meditation) and studied a range of different meditation styles, such as focused meditation and Metta Bhavana (Loving Kindness) all of which are drawn into enhancing the experiences of students in my yoga sessions.
Yoga is a beautiful discipline which is over 5000 years old, reaching us from India. I first came to Yoga approximately 20 years ago in search of a way to transform the mind, body and spirit. I truly believe this is it! Along the way as you enter into your yoga journey, you realise that the greatest teacher you can ever have is yourself. You. All of the wisdom is already there inside of you. By working to unite the body, mind and spirit through yoga I am discovering a much happier, healthier me and you can too!
With so many branches and styles; there is something for everyone in my classes. Some styles can be challenging, demanding even; others can be relaxing, meditative and utterly peaceful and all yoga styles can help to put the body, mind and spirit into balance achieving this in a variety of ways. In Yoga with Andrea you will join me in a fusion of Bhava, Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa flow and Yin inspired styles with a regular diet of relaxation, Yoga Nidra and meditation.
I listen carefully to the wants and needs of those who attend my classes, guiding you through your Yoga journey and back to yourself in your practice. I offer weekly classes, tailored private and group sessions.
