My yoga style incorporates Hatha and yin yoga asanas, mindful movement, breathing techniques, relaxation, visualisation, meditation and energy work.
I welcome students of all shapes and sizes, as well as with varying levels of physical fitness. Recognising the importance of looking at each unique body. No two human bodies are exactly alike, hence yoga cannot be taught in a uniform way.
I lead yoga practice that is empowering; helping you to help yourself, by understanding how your body moves and what affects that movement. Focus is on stability before flexibility.
I became a yoga teacher following a 33 year career in the NHS. In health service management positions and direct clinical nursing I after quickly developed a love of yoga after starting to practice to help me with the stress and anxiety in my professional life.
I'm indebted to the many wonderful teachers locally and from around the world who have influenced me on my yoga journey.
I remain committed to continuing Professional Development to learn and develop as a yoga teacher, pranayama, functional anatomy, yoga Nidra, meditation.
I Completed 200 hours of yoga teacher training in Vinyasa flow with Frog Lotus Yoga International in April 2016
50 hours of Yin Yoga teacher training with Bernie Clark in February 2019.
