Overview

Laura initiated practicing Yoga Asana 5 years ago. From the first time she stepped on the mat she felt a desire to connect body and mind through the different postures. As a beginner she became familiar with the poses, her body and movement by practicing mainly Hatha Yoga which allows to focus on alignment and conscious balance between effort and ease. After a year of regular practice and with the quest to understand better the body movement and anatomy, Laura completed a 200-hr teaching training In July 2017. Since then she has been exploring and discovering Yoga in more depth.

Laura focuses on bringing breath and movement together. She considers awareness, alignment and breath to be the foundations of the practice. Laura recognises that sharing the yoga practice with others in a responsible way is fundamental, therefore she has continuing studying and learning to deliver a responsible teaching. Laura sees the yoga teaching as an opportunity to guide others to cultivate a physical and mental well-being.

On the other hand, she is a full time acoustic engineer working with in an environmental team for a large civil engineering firm.

“Laura recently qualified as a yoga teacher with Christine Felix Yoga School. Laura is based in and around Manchester. Please feel free to contact me for more information” – Christine Felix

Laura is an excellent yoga instructor. She has a deep regard and understanding of the practice and is very aware of the principles behind the moves and the importance of anatomy in achieving the best outcome for all her pupils. She was always well prepared with a lesson plan and very hands on and watchful that everyone was doing the movements in a safe and beneficial way. She has the sweetest nature and brings an aura of calm and care to every lesson. I am in my seventies and learned so much from her despite having attended yoga classes on and off over the years. I miss her yoga lessons and was so sorry she had to leave. Lucky new pupils!

I would definitely recommend Laura as a teacher. She is calm, kind and encouraging. Her classes are well structured, with a focus on breathing and good posture and as well as really enjoying the practice, I learnt a great deal from her.

Laura taught me yoga for about 18 months including the last 6 months in which I was pregnant. Laura encourages you to achieve and to stretch yourself (in every sense!) but without ever being too pushy. Laura clearly feels very passionately about yoga and it’s principles and she brings that energy into every single class. She cares a lot for her clients and modified classes for me being pregnant even as part of a mixed group. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Laura and I only wish she lived nearer so I could continue with her classes!
