Overview

  • My greatest passion is teaching yoga in a way that is more like 'mindfulness from the mat' - working with your body and your breath to deeply relax your mind and body, and to come out of the underlying stress mode we live in for most of our lives.
  • I always say its not so much about 'what' you do on the mat that counts as the 'way' that you do it. I like to teach the way to 'be' yoga rather than just 'do' yoga - so that you take the benefits beyond the mat and into your life.
  • Breath work and deep relaxation is a core part, alongside a non-competitive flow of postures.
  • I trained at the Sivananda Ashram & International HQ in Canada which follows the classical ancient teachings of Indian master Swami Sivananda.
  • I qualified as a Sivananda and Yoga Alliance registered teacher in 2011. I have a long established personal Sivananda practice developed over 20 years during my corporate communications and consultancy business-owner career.
  • Posture practice is just one of five elements to this complete mind-body intelligence method for being the highest version of ourselves at work, rest and play - ‘in health, in shape and in flow’ .
  • Sivananda teachings incorporate the ancient  psychological insights and teachings of today’s mindfulness.  It supports the development of inner awareness central to the law of attraction and manifesting the life we desire. It also releases innate chakra based vitality, drive and energetic potential.
  • My teaching experience includes private 1-2-1 and group classes in studios in the French Alps and Geneva as well as London:
    • Geneva: Sivananda Yoga Centre
    • Chamonix, France: Sattva Yoga
    • London: Battersea Yoga, Local Motion, Blackheath Complementary Health Centre, Lee Complementary Health Centre
