She shares a deep knowledge of asana interwoven with the deeper wisdom of yoga, and teaches with warmth and humour.
"I love to share how our current understanding of body and mind ties in with yoga wisdom. Recent research validates a creative approach to asana, showing how diverse movement leads to physical and mental health. I share a broad approach to yoga, weaving the philosophy through the practice of asana, pranayama & meditation.
My teaching is infused with warmth & humour. I share this work in a trauma sensitive way and to love to include anyone on this path that can seem so hard to navigate.
The traditions that have shaped my practice vary from Iyengar & Ashtanga to Zen & Tantra. I have studied yoga history & philosophy along the way. I love the practice of somatic movement. I have trained to teach yoga for Trauma and for Anxiety. My more recent teachers include Tias Little (yoga, somatics, mediation), Anodea Judith (chakras) & Jules Mitchell (biomechanics & evidence based). But I owe a debt of gratitude that dates back some 30 years of study and practice with many wonderful teachers. Thankyou.
I would be so deeply honoured to share my understanding of yoga with you."
