Overview

"Yoga is a light, which once lit, will never dim. The better your practice, the brighter the flame."

B.K.S. Iyengar

My yogic path began in the early 2000s, in Oslo, Norway. At the time my aim was to supplement my intensive shotokan karate training. Over ten years later, I cannot remember much of the Japanese martial art that I trained with such enthusiasm, but yoga has stayed with me. For, as B.K.S. Iyengar teaches us, it is a light that never goes off.

Over the years I have tried different styles of yoga to finally  commit to the path of hatha yoga through my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Shiva Yoga Peeth in Rishikesh, India, which I completed in the Summer of 2016. Since Autumn 2016, I have been teaching in London and Manchester, UK. My regular classes take place in Levenshulme, Manchester.

Whilst I am also a researcher, yoga is my anchor, my space to play, find peace and recharge and I aim to create an environment in which my yoga students can find the same benefits of their own practice. My teaching style focuses on alignment and gentle adjustment allowing my students to discover the asanas in a step by step and safe way. I am committed to creating a space that is nurturing and accessible to all, and using props is another way to support my students on their yogic journey, whether they are beginners or seasoned practitioners.

I believe that the yogic principles call for generosity and patience in our teaching, and I am equally grateful to my teachers and students for sharing their wisdom, experiences, and time with me.
