Overview

I have been practicing Yoga (specifically Ashtanga Yoga) since 2009. I began teaching in 2014 having completed 40 hour Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training with David Swenson in 2014. In 2015 I completed a 200 hour Diploma Yoga Teacher Training with Brain Cooper and Vinyasa Flow Teacher Training 30 hours with Nichi Green, both Yoga Alliance Registered Schools.  

In 2016 I attended 20 hours Training Yoga for Individuals with Special Needs with Richard Kavetz, Yin Yoga Teacher Training 8hours with Jackie Quayle and Teacher Training 25 hours with Manju Pattabhi Jois. During 2016 I began my journey into kriyas and pranayama practice under the guidance of my teacher Vicky Shields (as taught by her teacher Sri. O.P.Tiwariji). Through these practices I have enhanced my overall health, well-being and I have been able to develop a more rounded and nourishing personal yoga practice for the mind and body. As my pranayama practice has developed I have undertook additional training with my teacher Vicki Shields; completing 20 hours Breath of LIfe training 2017, 40 hours Breath of LIfe 2018 and 2019 I embarked and completed a second 200 hours training (Evolve Yoga Training). This has facilitated a greater understanding of the philosophy of yoga and the effects of working with the breath and subsequent effect on mind and body. This knowledge has benefited both my personal practice and those that I share this knowledge with.

Since I began my teaching journey I have been sharing my love of yoga through group classes, gym classes, private tuition and voluntary classes to work colleagues and people with physical and learning disabilities. Teaching Ashtanga although I am flexible in my approach by adding asanas to help support progress, build strength and flexibility, vinyasa flow, restorative, yoga nidra, breath work and pranayama. I have been lucky to have studied with a number of Yoga practitioners including Brian Cooper, David Swenson, Kino MacGregor, Tim Feldman, Manu Rossi, David Williams, Manju Pattabhi Jois, Vicki Shields, Leslie Kiminoff, Mike McCabe and Donna Southwell.  

I continue to attend workshops, classes wand additional training with my teachers and other practitioners from a variety of yoga disciplines to continually develop my practice. In my personal practice I practice mainly Ashtanga, Restorative Asana, Pranayama and continue to explore the 8 limbs of yoga to further develop my practice, teaching and support continuing evolving life.
