This course offers a concise introduction to the benefits of therapeutic movement and yoga as an effective sensory integration to children and young adults on the Autistic spectrum, ADHD and other learning disabilities, encouraging a mindful approach to self-management and neurological development.

Ideal for yoga and fitness professionals, OT's and anyone working with special educational needs.

Our teacher-training course has met the stringent requirements set by The Yoga Alliance Professionals.  Graduates are trained to the highest standard and are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance Professionals.

Learning objectives:

  • Simple breathing techniques, yoga postures and relaxation exercises to enhance self awareness, mood and behaviour
  • The benefits of a non – competitive approach to physicality to enhance engagement and participation
  • Explore the freedom of movement to music to encourage spatial awareness, co-ordination and self expression
  • Deep touch pressure techniques to aid those with sensory processing
  • Strategies to encourage self-confidence, classroom learning and social integration
