Many yoga teacher training courses don’t prepare you to teach pregnant women and yet at some point you probably find pregnant students turning up unexpectedly to join your regular yoga classes. This is such an important time during a woman’s life and yoga can be so beneficial to help avoid aches and pains and encourage women to nurture themselves and their babies.
Many YTT courses don't prepare you to teach pregnant women. This YAPTA workshop will give you more understanding of how to teach women who are pregnant safely when they come to your classes. You will also be able to advise a student when a yoga class may not be suitable during their pregnancy. Early pregnancy and the journey to motherhood is such an important time during a woman's life and yoga that is attuned to the pregnant body can be so beneficial. Tara Lee has been practising yoga for 23 years and has taught thousands of pregnant women over the last 15 years, guiding them through their pregnancies and births.
Tara’s yoga DVDs have sold over 150,000 copies and her Pregnancy Yoga DVD is a bestseller on Amazon. Tara has designed ‘The Bump Mat', an extra thick yoga mat, which is perfect for pregnancy or anyone wanting extra support for their knees.

Tara currently teaches Pregnancy Yoga, Mother and Baby Yoga, and Vinyasa Yoga classes in London. She runs pregnancy teacher training courses, is a registered senior teacher on the board of Yoga Alliance Professionals and is also a qualified Shiatsu practitioner and a trained Doula.
